Merchant Data Compromise
Released September 15, 2014 – NMA was notified on September 4, 2014 that Home Depot may have suffered a merchant data compromise aimed at obtaining credit and debit card information. Since that notification Home Depot has confirmed that their payment data systems were breached. Reports indicate the breach could potentially impact any customer that has used their debit/credit card at Home Depot from April 2014 forward.
In the event that you suspect that your card may be part of this compromise; be assured that NMA will notify you requesting you obtain a new card. If you do not receive a letter than your card is not involved in this breach. NMA encourages our members to closely monitor their accounts and credit card statements for any unauthorized activity. Please notify NMA immediately if any unauthorized activity appears on your account.
